Application guidance for charity accounting

Join us: The new SORP development process and the 2019-20 recruitment campaign

The SORP-making body's recruitment to the new SORP Committee and SORP engagement partners has closed. Applicants were sought from the UK and Ireland from those interested or knowledgeable about charity financial reporting whether donors, funders, commentators, accountants, trustees, auditors, independent examiners or advisors.

To ensure that views are heard early in the process from those using charity trustees' annual reports and accounts and from preparers of charity accounts, we were looking for engagement partners to join us as part of a new engagement process. We looked to recruit engagement partners, individuals or organisations, who wanted to help us. We look to work with our engagement partners to build on the achievements of the retiring SORP Committee in exploring topical issues of governance, transparency, simplification (tiered reporting) and the reporting needs of smaller charities.

We plan to have the new arrangements in place by March 2020.
